Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

This policy explains what information RepSavi collects, why, and what happens to it. RepSavi is a study app: you upload or paste learning material, and it generates practice questions and grades your answers using AI.

Information we collect

How your content is used

To write questions, mark your answers, explain a missed answer, answer your questions about a document, summarise it and make flashcards, the text of your material and your answers is sent to our AI provider Anthropic (the Claude models). PDFs and photos you upload are also sent to Anthropic, to read their text. If you use the microphone to dictate, your voice is streamed to OpenAI to be turned into text live. These are the only two companies that see the content of your documents, and only to do what you asked.

Not used for training. Anthropic and OpenAI both state that data sent through their business APIs is not used to train their models (this is separate from their consumer chat products). Anthropic deletes API inputs and outputs from its systems within 30 days of receipt by default, and OpenAI keeps the voice stream for up to 30 days only for abuse monitoring. We do not keep the audio ourselves: only the text, which you can edit and use like anything else you type, is kept if you go on to use it.

Your account data, learning material, results and (unless you switch it off) the original files you upload are stored in our database and file storage, provided by Supabase, which encrypts stored data and connections. Our application server runs on Railway. These providers host the infrastructure for us; they do not use your content for their own purposes. The page How we handle your documents explains this in more detail, including the list of providers.

Who can see your documents. You, through your account. We do not read, review or sell your documents, and we do not use them to train any model. Technical access to the database exists only for the people who run the service, and is used only to keep the service working, to fix a problem you report to us, or where the law requires it.

Problem reports you send us

If you tell us a question or a mark is wrong (the "Report a problem" link), we keep your report together with the question, the passage of your document it rests on, your answer and the mark, and which AI model wrote or marked it, never the rest of your document. We use reports to find and fix mistakes and to test the AI. They are kept until you delete your account, and they are included in your data export.

Error reports

If the app or our servers hit an unexpected error, a technical error report may be sent to our error-monitoring provider (Sentry) so we can fix the problem. A report contains technical details only — the kind of error, which part of the code failed, the app version and the type and operating system version of your device. We configure it not to include your email address, your study material, your answers, what you type, request contents, or your IP address, and it is only switched on in released versions of the app.

Data retention

We keep your content for as long as your account is active, unless you delete it sooner: you can delete a single document, a whole subject, or your account at any time from the app. Deleted data may remain in our database provider's encrypted backups for a limited period before those backups expire. In Settings you can also choose not to keep the original files you upload: then only the text made from a file is kept, and the file itself is never stored. If you replace a piece of material with a new version, the older version's original file and raw text are automatically deleted after 30 days — your past questions, answers, and grades for it are preserved regardless, since they keep their own copy of the relevant source text.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app ("Delete account"). This permanently removes your login and all your subjects, materials, questions, answers and results, including any uploaded original files. It cannot be undone. If you can't access the app, contact us at support@repsavi.com and we'll delete it for you.

Children's privacy

RepSavi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Creating an account requires being at least 13 years old. A parent, guardian, or teacher may create and manage an account on behalf of a younger learner.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections and a managed authentication provider for credentials. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your rights

You can download a copy of your data at any time from Settings → "Export my data" in the app: a single file with your account details, subjects, material, the concepts found in it, and every test you took with your answers and results. You can delete your account and data from Settings → "Delete account". You can also ask us to correct your data, or to send or delete it for you, by contacting support@repsavi.com.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
